Maly Consulting LLC is a boutique firm of
professional consultants devoted entirely to technical compliance
issues associated with equal employment opportunity (EEO) and workplace
affirmative action (AA) regulations. Our clients are the human resource
(HR) departments of federal government contractor companies in the
private sector.
We provide data analysis services for the
demographic and statistical reports in affirmative action programs (aka
affirmative action plans and AAPs) as required by the Labor
Department's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). We
test federal contractors' compensation systems and employment practices
for potential discrimination against minorities, women, and/or those 40
years of age and over. We prepare, present, and defend (when necessary)
clients' AAP documents, pay, and employment data to OFCCP compliance
officers during audits with that agency.
top ^Founded in 1986 by Anna Mae Maly, the
firm originally worked with growing Silicon Valley technology firms to
help develop their college relations and recruiting programs. Our
founder comes from a background in large engineering design and
construction companies (Bechtel, Brown & Root,
Morrison-Knudsen) that required the presentation of quantitative HR
information to engineering management teams. As she worked with clients
on those early college programs, she was often asked "do you do "AAPs"?
She discovered that AAPs were an annual, intense number crunching
exercise for HR departments and that many professionals in the field
wanted nothing to do with the task. Voila, a need that needed to be
filled and the technical and management experience to fill that need.
The firm's capabilities — and work — in EEO/AA
statistical analyses and OFCCP compliance issues has mushroomed over
the years. Today, in addition to Anna Mae, the expertise and client
services come from a group of specialists who enjoy the quantitative
and analytical aspects of this narrow niche of management consulting
and also enjoy the satisfaction of successfully completing this work
for busy HR professionals.
Originally founded as Maly &
Associates and reformed as a Limited Liability Company in California in
July 2000, Maly & Associates has now become Maly Consulting
LLC. Anna Mae Maly is the sole Member; the firm has no other investors.

^Maly consultants are available to
comment on our particular area of expertise: technical compliance
issues on affirmative action in the workplace. We are not an advocacy
group nor do we have an expertise in affirmative action in the
education setting nor in programs for minority- or women-owned
