America's Job Bank is Closing Down -
What Action Should You Take?
America's Job Bank, a free service provided
through the Department of Labor (DOL), will be phased out
and no longer available on July 1, 2007. Furthermore, the
DOL has announced that contractors have until June 15 to
request records that might be needed to verify compliance
during an Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs
(OFCCP) audit.
There are several actions you should take
to prepare your company for the loss of this resource. If
you have not already done so, ensure that all necessary
records have been downloaded from America's Job Bank before
June 15. Otherwise they will not be available to you in
the event of an audit. Also, identify alternative resources
for meeting the mandatory job listing requirements. The

There is also a movement in the private sector
to provide another "one stop" resource similar
to America's Job Bank at a low cost. As covered in our Compliance

has launched their JobCentral web site, which includes the
BETA testing webiste VETS Central:
